Mr. Peter Sweeney is an upper school math and computer science teacher at University School, where he also serves as the Klein Chairholder in Computer Science and Robotics Advisor. He joined the US faculty in 2014, bringing a wealth of experience from both the tech industry and education. Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Sweeney worked in the computer industry for over ten years, having taught himself to code on an Apple IIe at age 12. He holds a Master of Arts degree from Cleveland State University and founded the US Robotics Team, which earned a berth in the state tournament in its first year.
